Description
Product Introduction:
It is used to determine the tensile properties of geosynthetic materials and is applicable to mesh‑type geosynthetics as well as sheet‑type geosynthetics other than geomembranes, including geonets, geogrids, and geotextiles. It is also suitable for wide‑strip tensile testing of geosynthetic composites and metal‑fiber products; however, it is not intended for special‑structure materials such as three‑dimensional geonet mats. The test method conforms to GB/T 15788, “Test Method for Wide‑Strip Tensile Properties of Geosynthetics,” and JTG 3460‑2026, “Test Specifications for Geosynthetics in Highway Engineering.”
Technical Specifications:
| Name | Geosynthetic Wide-Strip Tensile Test Performance Fixture |
| Material | 45# steel + P20 chromium-nickel alloy steel |
| Surface treatment | Sandblasting nickel plating |
| Scope of Use | It is used to determine the tensile properties of geosynthetic materials and is suitable for mesh‑type geosynthetics as well as sheet‑type geosynthetics other than geomembranes, including geonets, geogrids, and geotextiles. |
| Fixture Specifications | The clamping plate can accommodate specimens up to 10 mm thick, with dimensions of 50 mm high by 210 mm wide and a corrugated surface. The plate features an R3‑type large‑wave tooth profile. Each fixture weighs 8 kg. Reference: GB/T 15788-2017, JTG 3460-2026 |
| Optional connector (customizable) | Optional Type A or Type B connector: A connector, shaft outer diameter 20 mm, length 30 mm (with lock nut) B‑type connector: inner bore 20 mm, depth 30 mm; pin hole diameter 10 mm, with the center of the pin hole located at the connector. End-face distance: 14.5 mm. |
| Note | When no connector is attached, the clamp body has an M12 internal thread. |
| Experimental Procedure | Set the testing machine’s tensile speed such that, for geosynthetic materials with an elongation at break exceeding 5%, the specimen is stretched at a rate of 20% of the gauge length per minute, ±5% per minute. For geosynthetic materials with an elongation at break less than or equal to 5%, select an appropriate tensile speed so that the average fracture time for all specimens is 30 s ± 5 s. |
