Product Introduction
This instrument is used to determine the single‑layer thickness of multilayer geotextiles without mechanically separating the individual layers of a multilayer specimen. Under specified pressure, it measures the thickness of each individual layer. Prior to testing, the average total thickness of the multilayer product must be determined in accordance with GB/T 13761. The instrument complies with the requirements of GB/T 17598, “Geotextiles — Determination of Single‑Layer Thickness in Multilayer Products.”
Technical Specifications:
1. The apparatus consists of a frame equipped with a fixed lower plate and a movable upper plate of the same dimensions.
2. The upper and lower plates are rectangular.
3. The upper platen can be locked at any position along its stroke.
4. The weight of the upper plate shall not exceed the limit at which the pressure exerted on the specimen due to its own weight surpasses the specified threshold.
5. The upper and lower plates shall have sufficient rigidity, and during testing under the specified pressure, their deflection shall not exceed 0.1 mm.
