Description


Product Introduction:

This fixture is suitable for the CBR puncture strength test of geosynthetic materials. It uses a flat‑ended plunger to determine the CBR puncture strength of geosynthetics—specifically, the force measured when the plunger penetrates the specimen at a constant displacement rate. It is intended for use with geotextiles, geomembranes, and their composite products, but is not applicable to materials with apertures greater than 10 mm.
Complies with the requirements of standards such as JTG E50 “Test Procedures for Geosynthetics in Highway Engineering” and GB/T 14800 “Static Puncture Test for Geosynthetics (CBR Method),” as well as GB/T 19978 “Determination of Puncture Resistance of Geotextiles and Related Products.”

Fixture Specifications

The diameter of the top‑breaking head is 50 mm ± 0.5 mm; the inner diameter of the annular fixture is 150 mm ± 0.5 mm.

The puncture needle has a diameter of 8 mm ± 0.01 mm; the lower clamping fixture measures φ45 mm internally and φ100 mm externally (optional for T1127 geotextile and geomembrane puncture resistance testing).

The fixture support rod has a height of 150 mm. The fixture weighs 17 kg.

Optional connector (customizable)

Optional Type A or Type B connector:

A connector, shaft outer diameter 20 mm, length 30 mm (with lock nut)

B‑type connector: inner bore 20 mm, depth 30 mm; pin hole diameter 10 mm, with the center of the pin hole located at the connector.

End-face distance: 14.5 mm.

Remarks M12 internal thread when no connector is attached
Test Procedure Select the testing machine’s full-scale range such that the specimen’s maximum burst force falls within 10% to 90% of the full-scale load, and set the descent speed of the pressure rod at 50 mm/min ± 5 mm/min.
