A. Sand-filled cylinder: Its shape and dimensions are such that one end is sealed, with a volume of 25 ± 0.15 mL. The volume V can be determined by weighing the mass of the water contained in the cylinder, and its height can be adjusted accordingly, so that…

B. Push Plate: Shape and Dimensions — The push plate shall be made of wood or aluminum, with a diameter of 50 mm. Its bottom surface shall be bonded with a 1.5-mm-thick rubber sheet, and it shall be equipped with a cylindrical handle on top.

C. Leveling ruler: A 30 cm steel rule may be used as a substitute.

Sand: A sufficient quantity of dry, clean, uniform sand with a particle size of 0.15–0.3 mm.

Measuring instruments: steel rule, steel tape measure, or a texture-depth gauge calibrated with diameter converted to texture depth as the scale unit.

Other items: sand‑filling container (small shovel), broom or brush, wind shield, etc.
