Product Introduction

The gypsum water‑retention tester features automatic pressurization, automatic constant‑pressure control, and automatic test termination, eliminating the need for manual supervision; it can also be used for water‑retention tests on cement and mortar. The water‑retention rate determined with this instrument was compared to that obtained by the conventional filter‑paper method, and the factors and testing conditions influencing the water‑retention of plastering gypsum were analyzed. Experimental results indicate that measuring water retention under negative pressure closely reflects actual wall‑substrate conditions, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Moreover, water‑retention measurements are comparable only when the applied pressure is kept constant.
