Product Introduction

From manufacturing to actual application, coatings or inks often experience a range of shear rates. As typical non-Newtonian fluids, they exhibit varying viscosity characteristics under different shear rates.

It is generally accepted that coatings experience low shear rates during storage, transfer between containers, leveling, and sagging; moderate shear rates during pumping, dip coating, and low-speed mixing; and high shear rates during high-speed dispersion, roller coating, spray coating, and brush coating, where the shear rate typically reaches 9,000 s⁻¹. -1 ~12,000S -1 Therefore, to characterize the rheological behavior of coatings or inks at such high shear rates, a cone‑plate viscometer must be used for measurement.
