Product Introduction:
The U‑value (thermal transmittance) of insulated glass units is primarily determined using the guarded hot plate method. The U‑value objectively indicates the energy‑saving performance of insulated glass; installing windows and doors equipped with insulated glass having a lower U‑value can significantly enhance the overall energy efficiency of a building.
Product Features:
- The dual-specimen design incorporates a heating unit sandwiched between two specimens, with a cooling unit positioned on each outer side of the specimen. The specimens are mounted vertically to minimize the influence of convection between the hot and cold plates on the test results. Additionally, the left–right movement of the cold plate helps reduce the impact of convective heat transfer on the thermal conductivity coefficient.
2. Excellent temperature stability: The protective shield in the test apparatus effectively prevents heat loss from the hot plate and promptly replenishes energy, providing one-dimensional thermal insulation and significantly enhancing the temperature stability of the specimen.
3. The lower-level controller of the control system employs an integrated design that combines an imported PLC with a temperature expansion module.
