The geotextile trapezoidal tear strength test fixture is designed to determine the tear strength of geosynthetic materials using the trapezoidal method—specifically, the force required to initiate and progressively propagate a tear from an initial cut under specified conditions. It is suitable for all types of geotextiles and impermeable geomembranes, in accordance with the requirements of the “Test Procedures for Geosynthetics in Highway Engineering” JTG 3460‑2026 and GB/T 13763, “Geosynthetics — Determination of Tear Strength by the Trapezoidal Method.”
