SYA-16 Digital Display Oxygen Index Analyzer

This instrument is used to determine the volume percentage of oxygen required during the combustion of polymers. The oxygen index of a polymer is defined as the minimum oxygen concentration in an oxygen–nitrogen mixture that just sustains the combustion of the specimen, measured either after ignition when the flame has propagated 50 mm or after a burn time of 180 seconds. This value is also referred to as the oxygen index.

Product Introduction:

This instrument not only serves as a means to assess the flame retardancy of polymers but also functions as a research tool, providing a robust testing platform for laboratory studies on flame-retardant formulations and the development of novel flame‑retardant materials. It is suitable for evaluating the combustibility of solid materials, laminated composites, foamed plastics, fabrics, flexible sheets, and thin films.

Scope of Application:

It is suitable for determining the combustion performance of materials such as plastics, rubbers, fibers, foam plastics, flexible sheets and films, and textiles.
