Description

Product Introduction:

It is primarily used to test the hydrophobicity of thermal insulation materials and products, such as perlite, mineral wool, calcium silicate, and silicates.

Instrument Structure:

1. Principle of the hydrophobicity tester for thermal insulation materials: The specimen is placed at a 45° angle to the horizontal plane… ⁰ The test specimen is positioned at an incline, with its center aligned directly beneath the nozzle at the designated location. Water is sprayed onto the specimen at a specified flow rate for a predetermined duration. By measuring the change in the specimen’s mass before and after spraying, the volume percentage of the non‑permeable fraction in the specimen can be calculated.
2. Water-spraying device: Composed of a metal nozzle, a glass rotameter, and a constant-pressure water source, it is connected via rubber tubing. The center of the metal nozzle lies on the longitudinal symmetry axis of the test surface and can be moved along the sample holder.

3. Sample Rack: The sample rack is mounted at a 450-degree angle on an adjustable, level-supporting bracket.

4. The glass rotor flowmeter has a flow range of 10–100 L/h and an accuracy class of 2.5.

5. Metal nozzle: The spray face is convex‑round in shape. It is uniformly equipped with 19 holes, each with a diameter of Φ0.9 mm. When the nozzle is tested at the specified position, the transverse dimension of the spray area on the test sample is 148 mm.
