1. The LBT-1702 high-speed mixer is a specialized testing device for sodium-based bentonite waterproofing blankets, featuring belt-driven operation and suitable for determining the suspension characteristics of such materials.

2. This mixer consists of two main components: the main unit and the power‑supply speed controller. The motor is a small, DC series‑excited type.

Instructions for Use

(1) Operating Steps:

1. After carefully reading the instruction manual, assemble the entire unit according to the instructions and verify that all fasteners are securely tightened and reliable.

2. After positioning the slurry cup, pour the sample into it. To prevent overflow during stirring, ensure that the sample volume occupies no more than the total capacity of the slurry cup.

3. Connect the power supply, turn on the power switch, and rotate the speed control knob clockwise to start the motor; verify that the motor is rotating properly.

4. Carefully place the mud cup in the appropriate position on the mixer. Adjust the claw assembly to securely clamp and fasten the mud cup.

The consistency of the samples varies; therefore, the stirring speed should be adjusted so that the sample does not form a slurry in the cup.

6. Once mixing is complete, return the speed control knob to the zero position, turn off the power switch, and remove the slurry cup.

7. Unplug the power cord and thoroughly clean the stirring shaft and other components.

Scheduled Settings

1. Press the “Settings” button; the left-hand display will first show “EEE,” followed by “000.”

2. Press the “+” and “–” keys to set the desired working time.

3. Press the “Return to Timer” button; the left-hand display will show “PPP,” followed by the set operating time.

4. Press the “Return Timer” button again; the timer indicator light will illuminate, and the countdown will begin.

5. To cancel the operation or the timer, press the “Reset” button.

Usage and Maintenance Instructions:

1. Before use, verify that the operating voltage matches the voltage indicated on the nameplate; do not operate at a voltage exceeding the rated voltage by more than 5%.

2. To ensure safe operation, the mixer is equipped with a three-core rubber cable and a single-phase three-pin safety plug; please take note before use.

3. Connect the power speed controller to the main unit by correctly matching the corresponding plugs and wires, then turn on the power supply. Set the speed control knob to the zero position, switch on the power, and slowly turn the knob clockwise until it reaches the desired speed.

4. Before first use, run the mixer idling for several minutes; ensure that the sound and rotational speed are normal and that all components are securely fastened.

5. The mixer’s ventilation system must be kept clean and unobstructed; dust and debris should be regularly removed, particularly from the exhaust vent at the rear of the unit.

Do not block it, and take care to prevent debris and liquids from entering the motor.

6. Regularly inspect the power cord, plug, grounding wire, switch, and brushes to ensure they are in good working condition.

7. Do not lift or move the mixer by pulling on the power cord to prevent the cord’s insulation from being damaged or the wires from breaking, which could result in personal injury.

8. For mixers that have been left idle for an extended period, before use, the insulation resistance must be measured using a 500 V megohmmeter; if the winding is found to be shorted to the housing…

When the insulation resistance falls below 1 megohm, the mixer must be dried until the insulation resistance exceeds 1 megohm.

9. When not in use, the mixer should be stored in a dry, clean environment free of corrosive gases.

10. If the mixer is damaged, have it inspected and repaired by a qualified technician; do not disassemble it yourself, as this may exacerbate the problem.

11. This machine is not prone to idling, to prevent the stirring shaft from vibrating.

12. If the mixer’s main shaft does not rotate, open the top cover to check whether the drive belt is broken or has come off. If it is broken, replace it with a new one.
