Lb-DL600 Thermal Insulation Material Thermal Conductivity Tester (Guarded Hot Plate Method)

This instrument employs the internationally popular heat‑flow meter method for measuring thermal conductivity, coupled with a computer to enable fully automated testing, thereby meeting the requirements for determining the thermal conductivity of a wide range of common materials. Based on the steady‑state plate method, it maintains a constant temperature on the hot side, allowing heat to flow through the sample to the cold side; the heat flux is measured, and, together with the sample’s thickness and cross‑sectional area, the thermal conductivity and thermal resistance can be calculated. This testing approach is simple, rapid, and highly repeatable, making it ideally suited for research and development in the field of heat transfer. It is applicable to materials such as plastics, rubber, graphite, and insulation products, and is widely used in universities, research institutes, quality‑inspection agencies, and industrial enterprises.

Description

Product Introduction:

This instrument employs the internationally popular heat‑flow meter method for measuring thermal conductivity, and is equipped with a computer to enable fully automated testing, meeting the requirements for determining the thermal conductivity of a wide range of common materials.

This instrument is based on the steady‑state plate method: a constant temperature is applied to the hot surface, and heat flows through the sample to the cold surface. The heat flux is measured, and, together with the sample’s thickness and cross‑sectional area, the thermal conductivity and thermal resistance can be calculated. This testing method is simple, rapid, and highly repeatable, making it ideally suited for research and development in the field of thermal transport. It can be used to evaluate materials such as plastics, rubbers, graphite, and insulation materials, and is widely employed in universities, research institutes, quality‑control laboratories, and industrial facilities.

Reference standard:

JIS-1412-2 Method for Determining Thermal Resistance and Thermal Conductivity of Thermal Insulation Materials,

GB/T 10295-2008, ISO 8301:1991 (Determination of Steady-State Thermal Resistance and Related Properties of Thermal Insulation Materials—Hot‑Box Method); ASTM C518-04, Standard Test Method for Determining Steady-State Heat Flux and Thermal Transmission Properties Using the Hot‑Box Method.

System Composition:

a) Hot‑side heater, with high‑precision programmable controller for temperature regulation; the hot‑side temperature measurement resolution is 0.1°C.

b) The cold noodles are temperature-controlled using a constant-temperature water bath, with temperature fluctuations kept below 0.05°C, and the temperature measurement resolution is 0.01°C.

c) Installing protective measurement and control devices can effectively eliminate environmental influences on testing, ensuring test accuracy and repeatability.

d) Equipped with automatic pressure application and automatic thickness measurement functions, it can determine the thermal conductivity and thermal resistance under various pressures.
